I am driven by the idea that we can create a new paradigm in mental health that is outcome driven, yet patient focused, within a framework of recovery for all. This concept is the foundation of NOVO Healthcare, LLC. We will not stop until each patient has achieved his or her greatest potential and fully lives into recovery from whatever diagnoses or human conditions that have brought them to our door for help.”

I have been in the healthcare field for over 16 years and have loved every moment of it. I began as a medical assistant and eventually began my training in management. I have been a medical office manager for 15+ years and have been in medical billing for 15+ years. I attended University of Phoenix and recently graduated with honors with a Bachelor’s in Accounting. This degree will help to provide for our patients with a better understanding of the ins and outs and many changes that occur with insurance companies. “My mission is to provide quality services to all individuals, of any age, enabling them to live, work, and participate in their communities. I am committed to providing an atmosphere that offers superior mental health services to our patients and their families.”

Joy Elizabeth (Joy-Liz) Robinson, PMHNP-BC

Adolescent, Adult & Geriatric Provider

Joy-Liz graduated from Union University with a Bachelor’s  in Nursing and worked as nurse in Med-Surg and Acute Care. “During this time, I noticed that a lot of my patients were not receiving the psychiatric care they needed. I went back to school and graduated with my mental health nurse practitioner license from the University of South Alabama. My goal is to help teens and adults with mental health challenges find hope and their life purpose.  I believe in utilizing evidence-based practices that have shown the best outcomes for patients with these challenges. My goal is to help everyone achieve their purpose in life by assisting in their recovery.”

Samuel G. Adler, PMHNP-BC

Adolescent, Adult & Geriatric Provider

We are very excited to welcome our newest provider at Novo Healthcare. The following is a small portion of what Samuel will be offering to our practice.

Samuel graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Neuroscience and spending two years researching the cellular basis of stress disorders, Samuel realized that he would be better served spending his days working with people instead with lab animals and microscopes. In 2019, Samuel graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Master of Science in Nursing and began treating patients in the community health sector in the Upper Cumberland area. His goal is to provide compassionate and exudence-based care to patients across the lifespan, and it is his pleasure to partner with his patients in order to tailor an individualized treatment plan that best meets the needs of the patient. Outside of Samuel’s clinic work, he enjoys cooking, going to concerts, and spending time with his wife and dogs at home.

Porter Toothman

Therapy Canine

Porter was adopted from Maury County Animal Shelter in June of 2018. He is a Beagle/Basset Hound Mix and he is 4 1⁄2 years old. He lives with his parents Phil and Mandy Toothman and has three black cat siblings and a chocolate brown lab little brother named Fudge. He enjoys playing with his brother, sleeping and getting lots of hugs and kisses. Porter is thrilled to be a member of the Novo Healthcare team and looks forward to meeting all of you! He distinctively knows who needs his attention and enjoys providing a spark of happiness in each patient’s day.
